compliance

Audit-ready.
Every day.

Most compliance programs are only as current as the last audit. Forward keeps a verified model of your entire network estate, every device, every config, every path, every policy, so the answer is current every day, not reconstructed twice a year.

The audit doesn't create compliance. It samples it.

Most network compliance programs run on a cycle: quiet for months, then a scramble before the audit, once or twice a year. In between, nobody actually knows whether a control still holds. A config that said "deny" in January doesn't mean traffic is still denied in June. Drift is silent, and coverage depends on somebody remembering how the network was built. Forward closes that gap with continuous, automated, verified evidence: always on, not reconstructed at the last minute.

Inventory, behavior, checks, evidence. Everything you need to prove compliance, from one verified model.

location

A single source of network truth

Every device, every major vendor, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto and more, plus AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud, normalized into one data model, collected read-only and refreshed on a schedule.
square root math

Segmentation analysis, not config review

Forward’s behavioral model computes what the network actually does with a packet, through ACLs, NAT, routing, overlays and L7 policy, instead of reading intent off a config file.
circle check

Checks that run themselves

Controls expressed as code, evaluated on every collection, with a pass/fail result and a named owner. 300+ DISA STIG queries come pre-built, ready to run on day one. Others are a published mapping (ISO 27001) or yours to define (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and your internal standards).
clock

Evidence is generated by design

Time-stamped, exportable evidence produced by the same system that does the checking, so producing it takes no extra effort.

Scorecards Dashboard

Continuous compliance verification.

Define zones, write isolation checks for every boundary that matters, and verify segmentation, policy and reachability against intent, across every framework, vendor and environment you run. Surface drift the moment it appears, not at the next audit.
DEVICE COMPLEXITY DASHBOARD

Audit-ready evidence, on demand.

Pull time-stamped, exportable evidence for any framework, any control, any moment. Respond to auditors in hours, not weeks.
Path Search

Defensible evidence, when it matters most.

Reconstruct exactly what was reachable, what was exposed, and what changed, at any point in the timeline. Defensible evidence for the regulator and the board.
Vulnerability table

Vendor risk, modelled in context.

Model how third-party connections, vendor systems and supply chain integrations actually behave inside your estate. Then catch what your inventory tool doesn't: OUI-based hardware detection surfaces unapproved or unknown devices before an auditor's small sample turns into a full inventory audit.

Continuous compliance, not point-in-time audits

Compliance audits still run on spreadsheets, screenshots, and siloed knowledge — evidence that goes stale the moment a config changes. See how a network digital twin turns compliance from a recurring fire drill into a continuous, verifiable state.

From audit season to always-on: what continuous network compliance looks like

The gap between "the config says deny" and "the traffic is actually denied" is where compliance drift lives, and it never announces itself. Learn why point-in-time audits were never built to answer the question regulators, boards, and leadership now ask continuously.

The Network Digital Twin Guide

Ace your next compliance check with a digital twin

A network digital twin gives you a mathematically accurate model of your entire hybrid estate, from on-prem hardware to every supported cloud you run. That means you can prove compliance today, and every day, on the same verified foundation that gets you to an autonomous network.

The Network Digital Twin Guide

Our new eBook explains why network, security, and cloud teams need a digital twin to provide a verified source of truth, as the foundation for autonomous networking.

From the network teams that rely on Forward every day.

"With Forward Predict, we can prove our rollback works without taking anything offline. It is a one-to-one copy of our environment, and we can use that as evidence with auditors and the business leadership."
Steve Bamford,
Senior Network Engineer at IG Group

Continuous compliance demands continuous proof.

IDC measured the return across the whole organization — productivity, downtime avoidance, operational efficiency — including a 10.4% efficiency gain for compliance teams specifically.

Built for every team.

When you need to know whether a network change broke policy.
When you need to know whether access control is still effective.
When you need to know whether a new cloud workload is compliant.

Three different teams, three different questions, but you're querying the same compliance record either way.

Frequently asked questions

The same engine that runs DISA STIG's 300+ ready-to-run queries and ISO 27001's published mapping covers these too, an Isolation Intent Verification proves segmentation holds, configuration checks cover the rest. The difference is who writes the control interpretation: for these frameworks it's yours, tailored to your environment, and from there it evaluates continuously like everything else.
A config line that says "deny" tells you what a device was told to do, not what the network actually does with a packet once ACLs, NAT, routing, overlays and L7 policy all apply. Forward computes the second one directly, so a passed check means the traffic really is blocked, not just that a rule exists somewhere in the path.
Yes, across every major vendor including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto and more, plus AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud, all collected into one normalized model. Network devices in particular — routers, switches, firewalls — are where a lot of compliance tooling still falls short: most STIG and CIS automation was built for servers and endpoints first. Forward's model is built for the network layer from the ground up.
Auditors accept evidence they can trace to its source, and that's exactly what this produces: every check result links directly back to the device and the specific config line that caused it. That's a stronger chain of custody than a diagram or a spreadsheet someone updated by hand, not a weaker one.
An Isolation Intent Verification computes every possible path between two zones from the actual, current configuration, the same result a full path-by-path scan would produce, without having to run one. It re-evaluates on every collection, so segmentation is proven continuously instead of during a testing window once a year.
In hours rather than weeks. The evidence already exists, whatever framework or control the auditor names, so you're retrieving it, not reconstructing it from scratch.
